Project Demonstration
- We presented the final implementation of the remaining project features and collected client feedback before the final project presentation.
- The client expressed satisfaction with the overall direction of the platform and confirmed that it now aligns much more closely with the original vision.
Features Demonstrated
Projects
- Demonstrated the Projects feature, including:
- Project approval workflow.
- Donation links and fundraising goals.
- Contributor tracking.
- The client approved the overall implementation and suggested leaving payment integration for future development if needed.
Follow Feature
- Presented the Follow feature, which is currently in testing.
- We discussed how users should discover and follow each other.
- It was agreed that, for now, users can follow others through event participant lists.
- The client suggested notifying users when they are followed, with an option to follow back rather than automatically creating mutual follows.
Notifications
- Demonstrated the in-app notification system.
- Notifications currently support:
- New followers (planned integration).
- City-based event updates.
- Badge awards.
- Mobile push notifications were deferred due to Mini App limitations.
Badge System
- Demonstrated:
- Automatic badge awards.
- Admin-managed badges.
- Badge achievement pop-ups.
- Badge management through the admin panel.
- The client approved the implementation.
Alumni Roles
- Demonstrated the new registration flow supporting Alumni and Alumni Friend roles.
- Minor issues with changing roles for existing users were identified and planned for later fixes.
Admin Panel
- Demonstrated the updated admin panel, including:
- Badge management.
- Project approval.
- Improved dashboard statistics.
- User management enhancements.
- The client noted that the dashboard is more convenient than before.
Technical Discussion
Authentication
- OTP verification and password recovery are functioning again after fixing the university email configuration.
- The client preferred keeping the current verification workflow unchanged.
Infrastructure
- Migration to the university servers remains incomplete due to unavailable infrastructure support.
- Current hosting credentials and migration details will need to be transferred during the project handover.
- Load testing showed slower performance on the current infrastructure, which is expected to improve after migration.
Client Feedback
- The client confirmed satisfaction with the current state of the platform.
- The implemented features were considered a significant improvement toward the intended product vision.
- Remaining suggestions can continue to be addressed by the next development team during project handover.
